I have to admit that after a LOT of research on these types of collars, I chose these based on features, but mostly on the affordable price. My musts: NO shock functionality, rechargeable, easy to use. These 100% fit the bill! We have three dogs. One NEVER barks (she's a dream!), and the other two are small dogs who very quickly become "yappers" and enjoy the thrill of who can scream the loudest as they zoom outside to our fenced yard see what's going on in the world. Well, there's a LOT going on outside as we live in a golf course community. There's a continual flow of golf carts and motorized vehicles going past, and these small things flying by absolutely set our youngest dog off. He was at the point where it didn't matter if anything was driving past, he would bolt out the door to do his business, yelling at the top of his lungs - just so everyone would hear him. UGH. I went in with the lowest of expectations, but much to my surprise, this collar stopped his barking on the lowest setting. After the first 2-3 days we rarely even put the collar on him any more. He now pays attention to our verbal cues and just sits and watches as the golf carts pass by. We are still working on inside manners when company comes over. We are ok with a few barks, but after that we like settled, sweet pups. So far this has required a slightly higher setting, but it does indeed work. We are very careful to only use the collars when absolutely needed. I don't want to completely squelch their personalities and are fine with them being vocal inside when they roughhouse and play. I also work from home and lead a lot of calls, so it's complete peace of mind knowing they'll settle quickly if the doorbell rings or we receive a delivery during a call. It's a bit of a pain, the on/off of the collar all day, but it's SO well worth it. Battery life so far is great, and they're easy to plug/charge. My one word of advice...don't make an early mistake that I did. I had turned off the collar and decided to just turn it on after putting it around my dog's neck. Whoops!! It beeps and vibrates when it turns on. Bad dog mom move! I quickly warned my husband and we have not made that mistake again. This is absolutely NOT a replacement for proper dog training, but if you have a dog that has self control issues when barking and paying attention, it can be a great aid to remind them that uncontrolled barking is not appropriate behavior. We like to provide BIG praise when they don't bark and also when they are immediately quiet after a correction occurs. So thankful to have found this product!

I have two 7 month old dachshund puppies. Who knew dachshunds barked? Well, of course I did... but these two can be very annoying to the neighbors. I felt the need to control their barking but was not willing to subject them to "shock" collars. These collars use vibration and audible beeps and are - much to my surprise - very effective in limiting the dogs to one or two "woofs", a huge departure from their pre-collar behavior. Also, the collars are very small, something that concerned me for dogs only 21 lbs. at present, with an adult weight of 25 - 27 lbs. The collar straps are very good looking too! Battery life so far has been excellent, easily lasting several days between charges when worn around 12 hours each day. USB charging cables provided, though you must provide the small 5V transformer block typical to any cell phone charger.

This collar solved my dog's barking problem very quickly and with no stress on his part! I started with the least sensitive level, and introduced my dog to the collar on a long leash with positive reinforcement (treats!. Previously, he would bark when the neighbor's dog came out in the yard below us and would only stop if I stepped outside with a treat to distract him. it should be noted that I also use a training collar on vibrate, and so the "correction" is something that he has been exposed to. I used this to my advantage. When wearing the collar, when he barked, it vibrated and that stopped the barking; I would then call him to me and give him a treat and praise him for not barking. It took about a week, and now he rarely barks, just watches the other dogs and neighbors pass by. When he does bark, he will get the vibration and stop. Often he will come inside to find me and when he does, I praise him for not barking. It should be noted that I have two dogs, I worked with each one separately because if one barks it CAN set off BOTH collars. I started with my more persistent barker, and then once he had the idea (a couple of weeks), I put the 2nd collar on my girl. During her "training" week, I left my boy dog's collar turned off but he still wore it. This prevented any accidental triggering of his collar. Both dogs have associated the collar to the correction, so I will sometimes catch them barking if I forget to put the collars on. However, after a couple months of consistent use, I am seeing the habit of not barking form, so even without the collars the barking has been very much improved. I like that the collar is easy to use, the vibration and beeping combination has worked well for me. I am not having to stand up and call them in the house everytime someone (or something) walks by our backyard fence. Highly recommend.

ProsThe product is very easy to setup, use and maintain. Battery life was great! The product worked very, very well on my larger breed lab-mix. She's about 70lbs, and the think literally worked in the first two days. The vibration and noise were just off-putting enough that she stopped all of her barking outside!ConsThis is not the product's fault at all, but my smaller mix breed (about 20lbs) is the most stubborn thing on earth :). We had the product on her during the recommended time outside, etc., and it just wasn't strong enough for her. She is a crazy barker. Just like training, not all methods will work all the time based on the dog. Again, not the product's fault at all; it did exactly what it was supposed to do.Again, for the money, this is a no-brainer to try on your dogs. Just know that this is not a "solve all your problems product", just like any would be. In dog training, sometimes you need to try different things out, but this is a definite #1 try.I don't give many five star ratings ever, so a 4/5 for me is just about as good as you can do since nothing is ever flawless.
