I bought these lights to try and make it a little easier to see the locks on the doors at our lake house at night. I was pleasantly surprised to see just how bright they truly are and not having to run electrical wiring to the door is a definite bonus. The lights went up very easily and even though the instructions say they should be charged for a full day for them to work long enough to possibly reach dawn, I put them up around 5pm and they were on and worked from sunset until sunrise. I installed one under and overhang simply because there was nowhere else to hang it close enough to the door to make it useful. The instructions also stated that under the overhang isn’t an ideal location, however except during a stormy day, the lights have always charged and end up working just fine for me. They also help to light up the deck area and the two steps down from it, which is beneficial later at night when the dogs need to go out one last time before bed. The style suits the lake house. It’s not too modern and not too classic and while the lamp is plastic the hangers are not. The hangers are made of metal.

If you're looking for a quick and inexpensive way to brighten up your space, these solar lanterns are a great buy. The lanterns work right out of the package and are easy to install. Simply switch the lamps to the "ON" position and you're good to go. Keep in mind, the lamps automatically turn on once they move away from a light source (if you activate them inside your home). I DON'T recommend using the screws provided in the box because they're too flimsy, but the lamps are well-made. They're a little on the small side, but the light is nice and bright. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase.

Not quality material but it works great and looks amazing. Perfect ambiance lighting but don’t expect it to work like a regular wired lamp.

I love these things, and ordered four more! There were NO lights except motion detectors on the deck, cottage, and garage. So I couldn’t see anything on my cameras. Absolutely did NOT want to hire an electrician to install hardwired lights. These are the perfect solution!One bulb did die very quickly, but an extra bulb is included.These stayed on the hooks in ferocious winds. Amazing.They’re plastic, but look very nice, especially at night. Very pleased.

I love the style and quality of these lanterns but, even more, I love how bright they are and how long they burn after a decent charge. They lasted about 8 hours the first night. Second day we had dreary freezing rain and they didn’t charge, so they only glowed faintly for about an hour. The next couple of days they only got 3-4 hrs of sunlight and they only burned for 4-5 hrs. I have them in front of the house which doesn’t get direct sunlight until about 3pm and sunset comes at 5:15 = about 2 1/2 hrs of charging time. (It’s Winter in VA) So I took them to an area in my yard that gets sunlight all day and they charged yesterday for 8 hrs. Bingo, the lights have been glowing for 12 hrs now. The photo I’m uploading shows them burning after 12 hrs and they’re still bright, though not as bright as they are when they first come on. (Please excuse pic quality. Taking pictures at 5am in 21 degrees and in my jammies isn’t my forte. The bows tied them into my Christmas decorations.) I’ll continue to move them for charging through the Winter. It only takes a minute and worth the results. We live in a rural area and have frequent power outages and I’ll be able to bring these in for a safe and practical source for light when we need it. These are sturdy and well made of metal and glass with 4 large solar panels on the tops. The bracket that came with them is sturdy metal but I only received one so I have them on shepherds hooks. Also, a spare (one) lightbulb was included. I’m very happy with these.

Very pretty plus provide much more light than most solar powered lights. These are beautiful hung by the rings on the tops using the provided hangers but also look great sitting on a table. We got a set for Christmas and I liked them so much I purchased a set for my brother who loves them as well. Will likely get another set for our front porch (hung the gifted set on each side of our greenhouse door and they look elegant while providing ample light in our back yard). My brother sits his on his deck table in back yard and on porch table in front yard so he can move them or carry them like a lantern when he wishes. These are really very nice and make a great gift.

The lamps are well made, the base is plastic which is not on the best quality and finish, but the rest - the part that housing the bulb itself - are made of metal and glass, and it's pretty big, so overall it feels like a real lamp and the the usual plastic solar toys we are used to see here and in other places.The battery is easy to swipe and replace as it used 18650 3.2v (!) battery and there's no need to unscrew anything in order to replace it. the only issue is the lithium battery which is not standard and when it's died it's not the easiest part to look for, at least not in my country - which is what I'm going to explain:Why 1 star?I got 1 faulty. apparently it was the battery which was on super low voltage and did not recharge under the sun with the solar panels anymore, I made sure it's the only problem as I move the battery from the working lamp to the other and it worked!So, there's no way to talk with the seller, so I spoke with Amazon service and tried to explain them and they eventually sent me a new pair, but it never came because when I asked the post company where's my package I surprised to know they sent it back because Amazon sent it to my country without writing my details!!! I got tired of speaking with Amazon each time for these stuff, it feels like the experience at the Chinese websites.
