Plastic swatters can crack, and wires bend too much. This is the most durable kind I've ever had, and though it's wood and leather it's light and fast!

This is the best fly swatter I've ever used !! It is so simplistic and yet very effective & you will wonder why you never thought of putting a piece of leather onto a round wooden stick. With the cheap swatters the wire handle bends in mid swat resulting in misses occasionally, so i started taping a 1/2" wood square piece down the length of the handle, this helped a bit, but not much. This one has a very sturdy wood handle and a leather end that will last far far far longer than the flimsy plastic mesh end type. I don't know if it's the sturdy wood handle or the thick leather piece on the end or a combination of both? but.... This is the (short range) sniper rifle of fly swatters ! ( I named mine Chris Kyle ) , it never misses. 1 swat, 1 kill.....unless 2 or 3 flies are close together, then it's 1 swat 2 or 3 kills. I know this will last for a long time. Once you get one, you will never go back to the plastic end swatters, no matter how "heavy duty" they say they are.Now I wonder what other Amish necessities I'm missing out on.

I would have preferred a flat handle. This one is sturdy but round causing it to twist in your hand allowing flies to escape.

Very well made, believe they will perform well and last a good long time...

This is a great flyswatter. Enjoyable to use. It maybe a little overkill but works well on bigger bugs and pest as well, where the plastic ones are weak this swatter inspires confidence.

Well, well, well... where do I begin? The "2 Pack Sturdy Leather Fly Swatter for Indoors" – aka the "I Paid for Hopes and Dreams and Got a Broken Disaster" – is a piece of absolute garbage. If I wanteda flimsy, sad excuse for fly combat, I would have just used a piece of paper.Let’s break it down:**1. Sturdiness? More Like "Sturd-NOT"**Out of the box, this thing looked like it was ready for battle. "Heavy Duty," they said. "Durable," theysaid. *Lies.* After approximately *three* flies were dispatched (yes, I counted), the leather partliterally fell off the frame. I wish I were exaggerating, but nope—one fly down and the whole thinggave up on life.**2. Handle Length: Perfect for Reaching the Top Shelf... and the Bottom of My Expectations**The 19.7†handle is, in theory, a great idea—if you’re trying to swat flies from a distance withoutgetting close enough to smell their existential dread. In reality, though, it’s just long enough to giveyou false hope that you might be a professional fly fighter. Spoiler: you’re not. You're just a personwith a broken swatter and a fly still laughing at you from the ceiling.**3. Hanging Rope: Because Who Needs Functionality?**The little rope at the end of the handle is... well, I don’t know why it's there. Maybe it's meant to giveyou some comfort as the flies mock you from their safe, untouchable perches? All it did for me wasremind me that even my possessions are giving up on me.**4. "Rustic Bug Swatter" - More Like "Rustic Disappointment"**I guess the "rustic" look is meant to evoke some kind of farmhouse charm, but the only thing rusticabout it is the way it fell apart as soon as I attempted to swat an actual bug. A fly might as well haveflown away with the swatter’s dignity.**Conclusion:**I can’t believe I paid money for this glorified piece of junk. If you want something that actuallyworks, just grab a rolled-up magazine and get your workout in, because this fly swatter won’t lastlong enough to even hit *one* fly, let alone three.Zero stars if I could give them. Would not recommend unless you’re looking for a very expensiveway to feel like a failure in your own home

Initially these things are great! Super sturdy and the force needed to kill a fly is half that of its plastic counterpart. However, the design flaw is that the leather is weak at the handle point. After a week of use on the deck I noticed that it had torn away from the mounting point.

I have come to the conclusion that black fly swatters are capable of killing more flies.Made out of leather give them a resistance of wearing out.
