I'm still waiting to pick up a rattlesnake and test it for durability. I will let you know later, thanks. I finally was able to use the snake tool and it worked perfectly! I picked up about a three foot rattlesnake to relocate it and had no issues with its weight. Thanks for a great product.

So im 5'11 and work as an inventory clerk in a warehouse. I have a hard time reaching the top shelves to count product that has been pushed to the back. I bought these as a pocket pick hook, and so far they have not let me down. I have pulled cases weighing from 1/2 pound to 37 pounds. The hook does tend to flex when pulling the heavier boxes, but for the price of these, if they break I will just buy more. Product is awesome and collapses to fit in my back pocket so I dont have to carry a giant pick hook.

Overall decent quality for the price. They're pretty flimsy, especially when fully extended, but work well enough for my purposes. I wouldn't use them to lift a snake over about 150g, but they're fine for extra support or guiding. Handy that they fold up, since I plan to keep one in my car. Don't expect to be able to lift a full-grown ball python with one, but if you just need a little something it's a good deal.

These are decent hooks. BUT, there’s a few caveats to these hooks:They’re not really sturdy. While they’re good for small snakes, they’re not great for things like adult carpet pythons or moderately sized boas.The locking mechanism for the telescoping apparatus has a tendency to break at the most inconvenient of times.

A old tree branch is more sturdy than these so called snake hooks. They are so flimsy there's no way I would trust them even for small baby snakes. Nothing but wobble and they feel like they are about to fall apart in your hands. I threw mine in the trash. Maybe you could use it to get a booger or something?

Even though it was nice to get 2 for a great price, these are definitely only meant for smaller animals. I tried to move one of my snakes with it and while I wasn't a huge snake he is fairly heavy. The hook broke very quickly and easily. It will be good for a light weight snake like a juvenile or a corn snake/milk snake. Nothing bigger.

love these hooks, I have a Texas rat snake who is so sweet once she's out of her cage but can be a bit cage aggressive so we got these hooks to get her out without to much stress on her or us. its very helpful that they extend and that 2 came with it since then one is always available. will recommend to others
