These adapters don’t work on USB-C ports. I used them to connect from an HP printer to a USB-C port on 2 laptops and neither one worked. USB-A to USB-A is not a widely used cable, but I happened to have 1 of those. It worked with this cable; however, I'm not sure what else these adapters would be good for. USB-A to USB-B cables are very widely used, so unless the only USB cable you have is a USB-A to USB-A cable, this adapter will not be very useful.

These adapters allow you connect a USB-B device to a USB-A male device. Mine's working flawlessly thus far. the construction is good, the connectors are very firm and don't feel flimsy and I haven't had any trouble with data at all. These feel like they're well made.If you're not familiar with the connection type, USB-B is used on a limited number of devices, mostly printers, microphones, and on some devices that don't use the USB connection for data transfer at all, only power. To use this with any kind of USB extension, you'll need a USB cord with a male end to attach to this adapter.
