Tough enough to break into dry clay without bending. Nothing like scooping up a big scoop of dirt. Seriously, you'll never go back. Buy 2 so you don't have to look around. You're time is valuable.

These are very reliable soil scoops, solidly built and easy to handle. They are a bit bigger than I expected, but that’s not a bad thing. They allowed me to quickly fill a couple of 12 inch plant pots when I had to do a plant transfer from smaller pots to larger ones. One word of caution, when used indoors, it’s better to have a floor cover big enough to catch the falling soil during the pot filling, especially when one has the plant in the new pot. Other than that, the scoops are sturdy, the handle is big and comfortable in the hand, making the soil transfer a breeze. Very happy with this purchase.
