this wire is great for DC projects. The wire is very flexible and does not have a mind of it's own as far as twisting up on you, if you know what I mean. Could be used as speaker wire also as long as the distance is not to far.

I used this product for automotive wiring. The wires are wires. The one dig I have against them is that in my application I found them to be too flexible. I was using them to apply a terminal onto the end of the wire for purposes of installing into a plug connector. The problem I had/have is that waterproof/water resistant plugs are a snug fit and it was VERY difficult to feed the terminated end of this wire through the back of the connector in order for it to clip into the connector in the plug (at the front) - about a 3/4" - 1" distance inside the plug head itself. Instead of threading through the back of the plug easily, as most 20 gauge wire would do, this wire would just bend up and coil up on itself as you attempted to feed it through, requiring me to use a tiny object to help push the terminated end (from the back) all the way forward until it clipped into its slot at the front of the plug. Far from ideal, as I likely nicked the coating of the wire trying to feed it through the back of the plug. Since it's "inside" the plug the fact that I nicked the insulation shouldn't be of any concern, but it's far from ideal and for that reason - if you're needing ANY rigidness to the wire & insulation for purposes as I described here, consider an alternative wire type.

I had issues with thinner cables which caused individually addressable LEDs to flicker. This cable is thick enough and works great on bigger distances, like over 8ft

I've used this for repairs in several vintage electronic units & it works well. It's easy to solder, & has good insulation. It's nice to have multiple colors in one package.

I liked this wire because it strips nicely for attaching ferrules etc.Handy box to store the various colors where you see the color you need at a glance.Also VERY NICE velcro stay strips on each roll to keep wire from unspooling...Very flexible - strands don't seem to break like some wire....

Easily stripped and soldered. Insulation will melt if you accidentally touch it with your soldering iron but that's not usually a problem. Nice to have this selection of colors to keep my wiring straight and more easily routed than stranded wire.

I purchased these twice, in both occasions and as mentioned by others the wire did not measure 99 feet. The first time it was just over 60 feet and the quality was poor.
