This wall anchor is designed in a tree shape as whole. After screwing in the screw, the wall anchor expands, and the jagged shape makes the wall anchor more firmly attached to the wall.
Drill a 5# or 6# hole, 1.6 inch deep.
Tap anchor in with a mallet or hammer.
Insert the screw and screw it in slowly.
The installation is complete.

I used these with screw hooks (of the same size as the screws) in the mortar between bricks and their performance far surpasses that of plastic anchors. I'll never go back to plastic. They do require a bit of a steady hand to hammer them into the mortar, firmly but gently with a few quick blows. A large pin punch helps to get in between the bricks and flush with the surface of the mortar.

Upgraded some doors in the house. Heavier doors reveled that some hinge holes were reemed out. These fixed the issue. Better than bitting into wood .

Installed pictured grab bar onto cinder block wall of basement shower. After i bought a 5/16 masonry bit and drilled six holes, installation was a breeze with these anchors. It’s so strong, i believe the 500 pound weight capacity that applied to the grab bar . Grab bar came with plastic anchors which, per customer reviews advise, i tossed, and got these “super anchors†instead.
