I got sick of the compasses my school issues to teachers breaking after ten minutes of use, so I bought a pack of these with my own money. So far only one of them has broken, which says a lot given how rough 10th graders can be with supplies. It can be a little challenging to swap pencils in and out but most of my students have gotten the hang of it. The anchors are nice and sharp so they don't slide around much. I do not use them in my class of kids with severe behavior issues.

Students are always hard on supplies, but these compasses become loose quickly and then they are effectively useless since they cannot be tightened.

It's a fair large pack of compasses with decent quality. They are simple and easy. If one is broken, there are plenty to spare. Very reasonable price (less than $1 a piece). I use them for practical purposes, drawing circles for board cuts. Useful and inexpensive tool.
