So we needed these for camera equipment and a few other things. We also.got some for a friend with a few firearms he needed to protect.They are good, they work. But when the bag comes new... it was disconcerting to see several of the white silica beads were already yellow. Meaning they had absorbed moisture. When fully sealed from the factory.It's not enough to make me not get it again, I have gotten it a few times. It's just enough to bring it from 5 to 4 stars to me.They are a great size for a camera bag, a gun pouch, or anything similar. And for the money, you can't beat the value. And they seriously are versatile and easy to just drop in whatever. I even keep some in my laptop bags.So yes I would and have recommended them, even gifted them to friends and family. They are a great value for the money and will save you money, keeping your electronics, firearms, and other stuff sensitive to moisture. Get some.

Good, as described, but the packet isn’t sealable, meaning that if you want to keep them fresh (and dry) you have to put them in your own sealable box or something, otherwise the ones you don’t use immediately will be useless

We have an automated cat feeder which dispenses dry cat food biscuits when out of the house. This feeder has a compartment for Silica gel to stop the cat biscuits going soft. I ordered these sachets for use in this device.I am sure that the Silica gel does what it is supposed to, however a significant drawback of this 200-sachet pack is that once opened, the bag cannot be re-sealed. This means that all the sachets start absorbing water from day one, and therefore immediately begin to lose their effectiveness.They need to be kept in a re-sealable bag and it is an oversight on behalf of the manufacturer not to provide this.
