Most snap rings have a small hole in each tip to accommodate snap-ring pliers.These do not, so you have to mess around a bit to get them on and off.

Lifetime supply, which is great. Indeed a bit thicker than normal. Only issue is one you can see if looking at the picture very closely. The opening is really wide; you will need a pair of appropriately sized pliers to close it up a bit to obtain a secure grip on the fastener.
