It’s easy to nail in the wrong end, it happens sometimes. I used a hand full to secure a piece of trim that I didn’t want to try use a nailer. In order to make sure it wasn’t going to fail I used caulking on both edges. Highly recommended. The reason why I caulked it is that my interior walls are plaster. I think if I had drywall or a wood backing I wouldn’t have needed the caulking. Tool to install is a solid tube not seamed that might tear apart.
