This makes a huge difference in the Florida sun. We had purchased one that said "fits all Model Y" but was too small for our new 2024.

This shade feels well built and it doesn't sag. The install is a little tricky, you refer to the listing pictures for a single picture of instruction along with a short video. Honestly that is all you need, it is dead simple. Mine had a tight fit but in the end it looks great see pictures. I only had to use one middle connect and that was for assurance, the fit was snug enough to keep the two pieces in place. Slipping the ribedd connectors under the trim pieces was also tight, which is good. The to shade halves themselves are labeled F & R for front and rear as the glass is not symetrical. The glossy side up and you are in business. I wish the clips stayed connected a little tighter as they can fall during install and removal. There are plenty of clips and a nice plastic box to store them in. I like it is an all in one solution with option to block half or all, the other shade you have to install a second black out piece and use magnets, this shade looks much better. 4 stars for the clips and tight fit but overall a great solution at this price point.

Anyone who owns a Tesla knows how hot it can get inside the car on a hot sunny day specially if you parked it out in the open without any shade and it is 100F outside. Got these sunshades and it quickly made a huge difference. It was able to cut down on the amount of sunlight and heat that is coming in through the roof and I can say, it was able to keep the internal temperature more than 10F cooler than outside.

The sun shade does not come with directions. I looked for a few videos before trying to install it.The shade stays up by using clips that slip in between the top glass. The issue is that there are gaps only in the front of my car, making this un useable if you don’t have gaps.I only had gaps at the front of my car and could only use half of the shade. As for installing, it definitely takes two people to keep the shade aligned to the clips without knocking them out.I would recommend taking credit card or something like it to test the gaps before buying.

The 2024 Upgrade Tesla Model Y Sunshade Roof seems to be a promising addition for Model Y owners seeking relief from the scorching sun. Its key features, such as the no-sag design, magnetic fit, and heat insulation, address common issues with sunshades.Potential Pros:Effective Heat Reduction: The sunshade promises to significantly reduce heat buildup in the cabin, enhancing comfort during those hot summer days.Secure Fit: Magnetic closures and a no-sag design suggest a snug and stable fit, preventing annoying shifts or gaps.Easy Installation and Storage: A foldable design with a storage bag implies convenient use and storage.Custom Fit: Designed specifically for the Tesla Model Y, it should offer a precise fit.Potential Cons:Durability: The long-term durability of the materials, especially the magnetic closures, remains to be seen.Visibility: While not explicitly mentioned, some sunshades can affect visibility, particularly at night or in low-light conditions.

I live in Florida and while I absolutely love the huge glass roof in my car, it causes the cabin to heat up pretty quickly. The Cabin Overheat Protection when used constantly can eat up battery range so I wanted a better solution. This helps to reflect the sun off the car and keeps it a few degrees cooler. It also was way to install and looks OEM with the color of the interior.

Really much easier to install with two people. It just doesn't fit quite perfectly. Stays in fine once installed but definitely not something you'll be popping into place for a quick run into the grocery store.
