I decided to purchase this because I dislike the accordion sun visors as they're a pain and take up so much room. I also tried the collapsible sun shades that you have to twist and spin in a specific and magical motion to get them to fold correctly. Not for me. But this product is amazing! It fits my 2016 Pathfinder perfectly and, equally important, it is so easy to put in place and take down. It folds up to the size of a small umbrella and fits in the pocket of my driver's side door perfectly. When in place in the windshield, it stays in place easily without having to use and adjust the visors. I have them down in the picture, but it's not necessary. I've only had it a short period of time, but it seems pretty sturdy and made of good quality. I'll post an update as I use it more and/or if ot breaks or anything changes, however as of right now, highly recommend! 5+ stars!

I had my doubts about this item. Every time we have ever purchased a sun guard the thing is impossible to fold, gets bent, and ends up in the trash after a year. APPLAUSE to the team that designed this marvel of a product as it is sleek and handles our Mini Cooper's tiny windshield as fluidly as it handles our minivan's. It is quick and easy to use - just like an umbrella. It also feels solid enough that it isn't going to break at will. It folds down to a small size that can be stored in the cabin of any car without imposing on leg room. I use this every day and it is keeping our car much cooler - and with 104 degree days in Austin that is a blessing.One minor nit though - it oddly came with a storage bag. I found this very strange as its design does velcro shut and store just like an ordinary umbrella. I would forgo the odd storage bag in future iterations and design a loop hanger directly on the screen umbrella itself instead.

This is my first umbrella type sun shield. My old aluminum z-fold crumbled into whitish powder and others I had weren’t tall enough to stay under the visors. This is clunky to open as the handle wiggles, I guess to get it out of the way. I find it difficult. The whole mechanism is made of hard plastic so I expect with the intense heat inside a car, it will shatter in a few years. In the meantime, however, it does completely block light out of the front windshield. I have a Subaru sedan, 2013. The umbrella is too big by about 4 inches on the top and sides. However, it is flappy enough to jam that part under the visors and it stays in place. It’s pretty easy to collapse, like an umbrella. I’ve only had it a few weeks.with that in mind, I recommend it if your old shields collapsed into the front seat while you were away. There is a slot cut into the umbrella for your rear view mirror. If you have a handicap card or anything big hanging there, it doesn’t fit and gets knocked off.

I bought the Car Windshield Sun Shade Umbrella hoping it would be a neat solution to the usual bulkiness of traditional sunshades, and in terms of storage, it definitely delivers. It’s compact and folds up like an umbrella, making it super easy to tuck away in the side compartment or under a seat when not in use.However, ease of storage is about where the perks end. While the initial setup isn't too complicated, the umbrella mechanism isn’t as durable as I'd hoped. After about five uses, the arms of the umbrella started to bend slightly, which means it no longer fits snugly against the entire windshield. This kind of defeats its purpose since any gaps allow sunlight to sneak through, heating up the car interior more than I'd like.I still use it because it provides partial shade and is better than nothing, but once it’s worn out, I’m planning to switch back to a traditional windshield cover. Those might be a bit bulkier, but they tend to hold up better over time and provide complete coverage.For anyone considering this product, it’s a decent option if you prioritize storage space and convenience over longevity and robust performance.

I usually don’t write reviews because I just don’t have the time to, but I will say this has been a great purchase and worth every penny. I switched over to a new car and never have had black interior before. All of my other cars in the past have been a white interior so it definitely has made a huge difference when the sun is out. I did some research and found that this Windshield shade had the best ratings so I gave it a try and it definitely is a game changer! It literally took two seconds to open. I will say you have to slowly open it but make sure you position it prior to open it. I didn’t have visors because I could just snap it around my review mirror and it just stayed in place. I’m buying another one for my mom and dad. Love this and I’ll be honest, within about 15 seconds after I had placed it, I definitely felt the temperature cooling down even just a couple of seconds! Worth every penny!

It fits my car, covers all gaps on the windshield and is easy to use. It does seem kinda delicate so use care when setting it up and taking it down.

Initial review from purchase made in August 2024-I had never liked the traditional sunshades as I’ve always had difficulty twisting them closed or found them bulky. This was absolutely perfect. In the hot Texas summer heat it made my hot trek from the house to the car bearable with my car being 20 degrees cooler than outside most days when I got in it. It made my AC not have to work so hard to cool my car down. I raved to my family and friends about it and recommended they get one!Update as of October 22, 2024-Today, it broke at the top where the shade meets the stick to open it. I use it everyday but am careful with it when I take it down and place in on my seat next to me as I rarely have any passengers in my car. The piece connecting the shade cracked at the bottom making the stick unable to be secured to it to continue using it.

Unfolds just like an umbrella, easy to put in place and remove in seconds. Much better than foldable sunvisors that fall apart quickly after folding and unfolding constantly.

El producto es muy bueno y practico aunque hay un par de puntos que no me agradaron y por el cual le doy 4 estrellas y no 5:1.- el boton para desplegar el parasol es somamente duro, en ocaciones necesitas ambas manos para poder precionarlo.2.- al ser el sistema similar al de un paraguas, cuanta con rayos y no es posible que tenga una avertura para el espejo rotrovisor como practicamente todos los parasol de auto, por lo que queda presionado el espejo contra el parasol.
