I bought these for use in my car for radio bracket in hard plastic. They work great.

It's supposed to be STAINLESS STEEL, but they stick to a magnetic tightly. They're nice and shiny, but most likely just steel.P.S. I did buy the installation tool, but haven't used it yet. I can see why it's needed, since the fasteners are designed for mounting to metal structures. ie. They don't have those points that prevent it from spinning if you try to turn the bolt to spread the fins when mounting the fastener.

The folks at Reverse Engineering Is Us really blew it on these little jewels. You know the little gripper points that keep the anchor from spinning while you are tightening it on a typical application? There ain't none! I wanted to finish my project so I found my needle nose vice grips, clamped down on the circumference of the anchor collar and tightened the anchor until it started gripping. I refuse to do this 18 more times! I cannot envision a use for these anchors where this would not be a problem unless there is some sort of tool that just pulls on the screw head to compress the anchor and then you take the screw out and finish anchoring whatever.

Works as expected. Took a few tries to work up to the correct drill/hole size.

The Hollow Door Anchor Set is poorly designed. Any toggle bolt needs to have a prong or teeth on the sleeve to hold the sleeve in place after it is tapped into the hole. The sleeves on this set has nothing like that which make them virtually useless. After tapping the sleeve into the hole there was nothing to anchor it there so when the buyer attempts to screw in the screw, the sleeve just slips. Any prospective buyer can actually see in the photo the lack of a prong or teeth. I just didn't notice that before I purchased this unusable product.

They just spin, they need some teeth on the backside to grip while tightening.
