One of these, reverse-biased across each cell will help prevent charging/imbalance problems in lithium battery packs without individually monitored cells. The Zener voltage is within spec, and the current capacity is good.

I work on CRT monitors and I usually have these 160v zeners on hand but ran out…discovered it when working on a board. Amazon to the rescue! These arrived quickly and worked great!

Seem to work just fine as over voltage protection for 5 volt sources. Your experience may vary. A current limiting, but more expensive board, is better if you are prone to such things like me. I also tend to pair these with a PTC, and a Schottky for additional protection. If you use these at least have a fuse, or way to figure out that they have triggered. Because they are guaranteed to get hot if you get close.

Everything seemed in order with the one sample that I tested. The voltage was a bit high (I checked a 12 V Zener at the test current of 100 mA), but still within 5%, and some of the higher voltage was due to self-heating, as that's 1.2 W of dissipation, and I didn't provide any heatsinking. All in all, these seem like good discrete semiconductors, but I'd like to see a lower price for a Zener that is provided with no specs, no manufacturer (the ones I received appeared by markings to be made by On Semiconductor), and therefore only suitable for general lab use, one-off projects, etc.

I use these as a cheap regulator for 5 volt devices.

Worked as expected, perfect voltage regulation in my particular used in an old tube transmitter.

The diodes I recieved were branded from on semiconductor. They do not come with a datasheet, but the datasheet is available online and the sample in the listing is taken from the on semiconductor datasheet. They function as intended and I have had no issues with them so far.
