Very happy with this wire set -- great value, and it's what the listing says it is. Be sure you know what you're buying. This is ultra flexible, with many super-fine strands and silicone rubber insulation marked 200C (higher than PVC but lower than PTFE). The fine strands (150 of them, but I didn't count!) can be a bit of a challenge when crimping contacts... make sure no microscopic strands escape the crimp -- then it works great. The insulation is thick but soft: very easy to work with but also easily damaged if used in the wrong application. It's the right cable for routing in tight locations, since it's so willing to bend and lay flat... good for DIY drones (flexing arms or retracting legs) or making wiring harnesses that need to flex but are well protected from abrasion and pinching. For more rugged high-temp insulation, consider PTFE but it is much more difficult to work with and hard to find at a reasonable price. As noted by others, some colors are a bit off. Red is clearly orange, and blue is gray-purple. That's okay for my purposes, but maybe not if you are building to a print for assemblies that will be inspected. The velcro wraps keep each spool neat, and the box is good for organizing these spools when lots of other wire spools are around.

Spoiler Alert:This wire is great! The following novel is how I’ve come to this conclusion. The boyfriend and I installed a Motogadget M-Unit Blue on his 1999 Harley Davidson Fatboy. As we’ve worked on many projects together, I’ve realized we just don’t work well together. Two completely opposite approaches: He’s the type to do just enough to make it work. Anything AND everything else (even following the directions) is just a waste of time and he will not be wasting any time. I like my work to be tough enough to never have to go back to repair it. Unless you’re showing it off, you definitely shouldn’t have to think/worry about it again until you make the decision to upgrade (vs. upgrading something because it doesn’t work). Needless to say, we don’t work so well together. It was both of our first times doing something like this. Naturally, I wanted to follow the directions, have a plan and a solid wiring diagram, all BEFORE we started. Well, he hadn’t even finished watching one video of a guy (who didn’t even install it on a motorcycle), and he’s ready to start our installation without a plan, a wiring diagram or one hesitation.I said what I had to say once, offered to help if he was interested in planning it out to do it right the first time, because I don’t like wasting time, money for more parts, etc. either. He kept on going because he needed (wanted) to ride it (I can’t even remember where) the next day. Lol I tossed my hands up and decided to sit this one out. It was a few months before I gave in to help. What I walked into was not a nice, clean install like he presented to me when he made the expensive purchase. The wires that came with the M-Unit were probably long enough when they arrived, but it was obvious they had been cut without any regard to planning where the wire would need to be, or could be routed. I tried to make a diagram of the current situation to assist in my efforts to obtain a result as close as I could to the diagram I had completed a few days after he began the project. I’ll just say that I did what I could with what I had left to work with. After a couple of weeks of wire tracing (that I should’ve just rewired then, but he would’ve not been happy with me wasting so much time), he buys a speedometer and an LED tail light/turn signal combo, stator, rotor, voltage regulator and battery. I suggested the battery cables too. He declined for another two months, but ultimately got them.I originally purchased this 22 gauge wire to cleanup the mess. The bf ended up finding it but only used a 10-12†length to repair an oil sensor wire, WITHOUT protecting the wire with loom, he only wrapped like an inch of tape over the solder location. smh. With it being located so close to the engine and exhaust, I’m surprised (actually, I’m completely shocked) it’s holding up GREAT!I do NOT recommend a loosey-goosey method when it comes to any electrical repair (ESPECIALLY on a motorcycle), I DO recommend this wire mainly due to it holding up to the heat of a Harley Davidson! It’s also very flexible and turns nicely when needed.I’ll continue with the full rewiring of the motorcycle, with this wire, when we replace the engine (before the end of the year).

If you're knee-deep in at-home projects and in need of a reliable wiring solution, look no further than the Sheilded 22 Gauge Copper Stranded Wire. This unassuming yet essential component has proven to be a dependable companion for my DIY endeavors. The 22-gauge thickness strikes a perfect balance - not too thin to compromise conductivity, yet not overly thick to become cumbersome. It's like the Goldilocks of wiring, fitting just right for various applications around the house. One standout feature is the soft shielding, which adds a layer of flexibility to the wire. This characteristic is a game-changer, making it a breeze to maneuver and route through tight spaces without the hassle of stiff, unyielding wires. It's the little things that count, especially when you're elbow-deep in a project.Durability is another feather in the cap of this copper stranded wire. It holds up well under various conditions, showing resilience to wear and tear. I've put it through its paces in different settings, and it hasn't let me down yet. What sets this wire apart is its versatility. Whether you're working on electronic projects, household wiring, or any other at-home endeavor that requires a reliable connection, this 22-gauge copper wire steps up to the plate. Now, let's talk about sheilding – a crucial factor when it comes to preventing interference. This wire's shielding does its job admirably, ensuring a stable and interference-free connection. This is particularly important for electronic projects where signal integrity is key.In summary, the Sheilded 22 Gauge Copper Stranded Wire has become my go-to for at-home projects. Its combination of gauge thickness, soft shielding, and overall durability make it a standout choice for a variety of applications. Whether you're a seasoned DIY enthusiast or just starting out, having a roll of this wire in your toolkit is a smart move. It's the unsung hero that quietly ensures your projects come together seamlessly.

Chose this wire mostly due to the reviews. The silicone plus stranded wire makes for really, really flexible wire. The colors are kind of pastel, and because it's silicone they're not shiny. The wire won't keep its shape at all if you try to bend it or shove it into a crease, this is good for harnesses where something else (tape or harness wrap) will keep everything together.Next time I'll use real primary wire, this was fine for a one-off but a little frustrating to ever use again.

Wire is exactly as advertised. The roles are well packed and have a handy Velcro tape for securing each role.

Wire does not break, like other kit I ordered !wires tinned and strong, great for breadboards.Would have like to see orange and purple wires, just to add to variety.

Liked - Fast Delivery TimeDisliked - Product is not solid core single strand wire as per the description. Wire received is multi-stranded and cannot be used for breadboards.

I use these wires for making guitar pedals and they work like a charm. Small but durable, flexible and easy to shape, strong but not to hard to cut or strip. These will be the wires I use on going.
