The boards are sturdy and the magnets hold it together well for larger pieces. The only down side is there are only 15 pegs included. 16 pegs would have gotten this a 5 star rating. I will buy an extra set of pegs so I can block 4 at a time. I highly recommend this product.

I purchased this large board to straighten out my crochet squares for afghan. You pin your squares ( pins included) to straighten the wavy edges, spritz with water and let air dry. Voila! Perfect squares. I highly recommend this easy to use, 23†long board.

I have quite a few bamboo blocking boards, including one that is hinged, but not as well as this one. This one has the finest workmanship I've seen. The hinges are placed such that the boards are perfectly level when opened, and when closed, they lay completely flat against each other. That's unique, and will help keep them from ever warping when stored over time. The hinges have an antique bronze finish, which they didn't even have to do because you don't usually see them, but they did it because they care about the details. The ability of this board to be propped in the stand when it's open, so that you get two sides like a sandwich board, is unlike anything I have seen in any other board. I've been window shopping for boards like this on Amazon for about a year, and have not seen another with all the features this one has. Gorgeous bamboo, sturdy base with options for angle adjustment, huge size. They don't mention the thickness in the listing, it is 15mm which gives a depth of over 10mm for the pins, which is a good depth for pins that fit as well as these. If I have one quibble, it is that the edges of the pins, where they are cut, are a bit rough. They don't have major burrs as some do, but those edges could stand to be filed just a bit to smooth them so they won't scrape against the sides of the holes and enlarge them over time. With such a large size board, you may want more pins as well. This is really the ultimate blocking board. Well done.

Easy to use, size is perfect but should be aware that some of holes are rough and not smooth and could snag yarn. Had to purchase additional longer rods for project.
