This gate closure fits perfect on my post & gate frame (2-3/8" x 1-3/8") with easy 1 bolt/nut install clamp on the post. The only problem, the gate doesn't come back to full close. I've tried adjusting the angle on on the post mount, also flipped over to mount, and still the same, this closer falls around 6" short to fully closed. My gate is vertically leveled and moves freely, yet this closer can only bring my gate back 6" from fully closing. Great concept, however the spring is too weak and unable to fully close.

I had one exactly like this for several years and it worked okay. However, whenever I put new one on there and tested it it broke right away. The only reason I didn't do one star is cuz I got to give some credit to the first one that lasted well.

Simple install for this instant latching gate closure. Holds the gate securely when closed, but opens smoothly when you want to.

My old gate's had this part for the better part of 10 years and probably longer than that but after years of weatheirng it just didn't work as well anymore and my gate didn't close all the way ike it used to. Took me all of 5 mins to replace it with this new one and my gate closes again like it were brand new. Shipping was quick and the part feels solid and well made.
