Strong magnets stay in place

The biggest waste of time and money I have ever spent. If I could give a negative star review I would. If you have wind in excess of somebody blowing on your curtains with a paper straw these things are coming off. They don’t stick together at all, and if your curtains are thicker than a piece of paper, they are not staying together. It’s almost comical how bad these magnets actually are and they are not near enough weight to make a difference.

I've never used anything like these before. They are essentially magnets in a plastic housing. We have a curtain on the screen door in front of our front door. We live in a tropical climate so our front door is always open, as is our back door--to allow airflow through our apartment. The curtains often fly up into our living room area and scare the bejesus out of our pets so I thought this might help. It does, BUT...they clank around a lot. If I add these to the bottom of the curtain as its shown in the product photos, when the wind blows, the curtains are useless because all the magnets gang up, stick together and essentially become a wind-blown weapon. I managed to find a couple spots on the front door frame that are metal so instead, I stuck one side of the magnet to said metal on the front screen door, tucked part of the curtain in and then added the opposing side of the magnet. This prevents it from clustering all together and from the curtain just banging around with a weight at the bottom and slamming itself against the door. I don't know if that would work for everyone though. It depends on how you're using them. In the product photos, they show the weights spread out on the bottom of an outdoor curtain-- I just don't see how that works at all. All it does is make the bottom of the curtain more dangerous--it still blows, but now there is a plastic weight attached to it.

These things are amazing! Super frustrating when the wind picks up and the curtains blow all over knocking things off the table in my gazebo. This provides a good amount of weight on the bottom of the curtains slow that process down. I will say, if the wind is strong enough there's no stopping the curtain blowing, but this definitely helps

This did not hold my curtain down at all. They ended up blown all over the yard. Wasn’t even a strong wind.

For windy west Texas these were okay. They didn't keep the curtain from blowing off the patio like I was hoping but kept it from blowing up.

I got these magnets to help hold the bottom of my green screen down. They're great for that. They're nice and heavy so the screen won't wave in a breeze. Since they're magnets, they also connect to the metal stand that I'm using to hold the screen, which in my case works great, but it could be a problem if there's lots of metal in the area you're trying to use these.
