Over the decades and with several moves from one home to another, my kitchen utensils have begun to disappear. I can't answer the 'why' or 'how' questions, but some items have just vanished. Periodically, I would think about buying an inexpensive set, but instead purchased box after box of plastic utensils just to have on hand.I was browsing on Amazon and saw this set, made the executive decision to purchase and after dishwashing for the first time, put the new forks, knives, steak knives and spoons in the proper kitchen drawer.It's so nice not to be running out of spoons and knives so frequently (those seemingly are the ones which vanished without a trace). The weight of these is acceptable, although they aren't as solid as my old set. Seriously, for the inexpensive price tag, I think the utensils are a very good purchase and it's just nice to enjoy the convience of additional pieces...
