These are a bit pricey but will definitely hold up cake layers! These will not buckle on you under the weight of cake tiers on top.

These straws are very thick and sturdy which also makes them very difficult to cut (or I don't have the proper cutting tool for the job). These kept my 5 tier cake up with no hint of a wobble, but be prepared with good scissors to cut to the proper length.

I bought these out of desperation because I couldn’t get my normal plastic dowel in on time for a wedding cake. I’m switching forever. These are very stiff & sturdy plastic; I was worried they would be hard to cut. I use a dowel cutter & it went through like butter. I just twisted one rotation to score, and another to cut through cleanly (and super straight).

PERFECT! I used to stack a 5 tier cake and they worked perfectly! I read other reviews saying they were too hard to cut with scissors so I used a tiny handsaw and some sandpaper to sand them down but then I went ahead and tried scissors and with enough force they were cut. They held up perfectly with no issues at all! Once I got down to the bottom of the cake for cutting they were still perfectly intact. The cake was up for over 6 hours.

I can’t believe I’ve never come across this product before. I made a 3 tier wedding cake and they worked perfectly. I highly suggest buying a PVC hand cutter to cut these plastic dowels, it cuts them very easily and clean cut. You can find them online or at a home improvement store. Good luck!

Wurde für eine zweistöckige Torte verwendet. Hat gut Gehalt. Sehr stabil. Zuschneiden war auf Grund der Dicke etwas schwer
