We purchased 2 pairs for a new student. He plays at least weekly and is still on the first pair. Very comfortable sticks, no chips or other defects from use for several months.

My 6th grader is like a hurricane. These sticks have held up so far, but I like having the second set as a just in case pair.They are nothing fancy. It's light wood and they do what they're designed to do. He says they work great in band class.
