These lights are more than impressive. I have been using 8 ft High Output lights for almost 20 years in my buildings and the electric bill was astounding. I decided to go with LEDs and remove the power-hungry Ballast that get hot which is where you use all your power. These lights are ballast free and retro fit to my older fixtures and do not create any heat. It’s a Win-Win in my book and after watching my electric bill drop in just one month I could not be happier. We run our building lights 8 hours a day. I need not end this without telling you the light is by far superior to standard lighting. If you have been in a big box store and seen these types of lights I will tell you this is what all my buildings are going to look like from now on. The lights make it a nicer of an environment to work in.I also have this companies 4-foot fixtures of which will work in the laundry room and my basement.Let’s talk about installation: If you’re not an electrician but handy with tools you can do it, but an electrician is advisable. What you do is cut the wires from each side of the ballast. Then hook one side to your AC wire that is already there and the other side to the other wire of your ac power. That’s it. You can remove or leave the ballast, I removed mine.I had a few questions before installing and found answers on You Tube. This company had the best reputation on Amazon and I trust Amazon. I couldn’t have been happier. I got my lights packaged in a strong cardboard tube and each light has a protective strip on the lens to protect it. After installation I had a slight sag in the center, but the lights worked 100%, I still decided to add the center hook from this company to support the light. Supports were easy to install using a self-tapping screw, takes all of 10 minutes per fixture and I feel worth the effort.

Upgraded my old fluorescent lights to the LED bulbs. Instructions say use 2 of these clips for each 8' bulbs. I actually use just 1. The bulbs are not that flimsy. I used a # 8x1/2" self tapping sheet metal screw. The clips will need a little stretching by hand. Before snapping the bulb into them. I didn't try. But I believe they might damage the bulb if not opened up a little first!

I used one of these clips to secure and support each 8 ft long LED lamp tube that I installed as a replacement for a T12 fluorescent lamp tube. Installation is easy, although you need to take some precautions to ensure that you don't throw metal shavings into your eyes when drilling the hole needed for each clip to secure it with a single screw -- which you must provide -- to the metal housing of your existing ceiling lamp fixtures. A single clip near the center of the 8 ft length of the lamp tube is completely adequate to support the otherwise flimsy 8 ft LED lamp tube that is prone to sag along its length. For installation, I first installed the clip partially on the LED tube after installing the tube in the lamp fixture, then used a marker to mark where to drill. Then I removed the LED tube and clip and marked the metal fixture housing with a center punch to prevent the drill bit from walking.

Purchased to replace existing clamps on 8ft LED T8 bulbs. Thought I might need several clamps noting sag on bulbs. I ended up using 1 clamps per T8 at center position. Worked better than new.

Nice clips, ss and plastic dipped for preventing scratches.PROBLEM IS when installed you have to push bulb up 3/8" up and bend bulb by 3/8', probably the same as a sag you would get without them.
