Carb kit resolved the surging issue. Patience and the right parts can fix almost anything.

Everything was good until I pulled out the gasket between the carb and head. The one that came with this kit was the wrong one. Ended up going to a parts store and buying gasket material to make the one I needed. BTW this kit was the right part number, everything else was as it should be.

I have a KT735-3076 and this kit fit the carburetor.
