I like the fact that the tube is made from powder coated metal instead of plastic like some others. Installation straightforward. I also like the fact that the tube is bent into the correct position for the car I ordered it for. There is a slight offset where the filter end would connect to the bracket, but I made a minimal adjustment and there was no issue.

Gotta say for only $60 or so, this is a great value compared to the K&N brand which runs over $200! The only reason this will not get 5 stars is because it comes with zero instructions, and it does not fit perfectly. The brackets don’t line up right. I’m ok with it. Once I found where I wanted it, I tightened it all up and it will get the job done. Going forward, I may just buy a K&N air filter to replace this one it came with, I have no idea how it will hold up or if it is washable like the K&N ones are…

03 civic ex, Easy to install but it’s definitely cheap, the mounting point doesn’t go anywhere and the filter is cheap as hell but it works, if you want something made for a 2001-2005 civic, this isn’t it, but if you want something that works good enough and is cheap, then this is your intake

It was difficult to put on the screws didn’t exactly lineup. However the concept or the whatever you call it modification was pretty solid. Replaced a pretty ugly large box system.

Had to modify it a little. The slot doesn't line up with the bolt. Had to modify it a little.Also the sensor gromet is way to big to fit into the hole in the intake. Trimmed a bit off since I had no drill bit that fit into my drill chuck.Otherwise it works pretty good.It took all of 15 minutes to install.

i bought this d17a intake and chucked it onto the d15y4, works perfectly and brackets fit along with the sensors and throttle body placement. Sounds really nice and performs well (not much of a power difference but can feel it slightly) the install also took about 20 mins half the time was undoing the old intake crap. best 170nzd ive spend in my life

As far as cheap-o air intakes go, this is pretty much it..It felt solid when I was installing it, the air filter itself is actually really good. The tubing was decently made. The hole for the O2 sensor bung needed to be reamed out a little for their special grommet to fit. Also the support bracket that mounts to a factory air box support didn’t line up. I needed to bend it out with a set of pliers and drive a bolt through it to make it work. For $100 don’t expect much, but the intake makes cool sounds on hard acceleration, and it’s definitely less restrictive than the huge stock air box… that’s about it.
