I used these between my battery and inverter to protect against DC shorts. I have two of these (300A) in parallel. I drew 9KW through them a couple of times and they tripped. First time they tripped they were so hot I'm surprised something didn't melt inside. The second time they tripped one of them tripped so hard I think one of them did have internals melt because it was stuck in the "off position." Had to throw it away.9KW at 50V = 180A and factoring 85% efficiency = 212A draw from the batteries. No way should a single 300A have tripped at 71% of its rated capacity, much less two in parallel to the point where one gets so hot the internals trip and fuse in an open circuit state. If I wanted to deal with replacing parts when an "overload" happens I would have bought fuses. It would have been cheaper anyway.What gets me is I had their 250A version in place and they seemed to work better than the ones marked 300A, so there are probably some serious material and/or quality control issues.I wanted to like these given their price but I'm going to have to explore other options. Not worth it.

Eliminate oil saturated wire harness, add safety and security.This will trip if shorted.It can be used to isolate the power from the circuits for security and further safety.

It's a nice unit, except the mounting ears are made of super brittle material that breaks when trying to attach it to the wall.

Before switching to this, I had one of the little clear ones from Amazon with the red switch. It was a 125 AMP, & seemed to be kicking way more than it ever should because I’m only running about 1600 RMS &/or 3200 MAX. This one hasn’t tripped one single time.

I love them, the perfect one for my sound system, I bought 2 to use from my 250amp alternator to the batteries!
