HOW TO USE THE WALL SAFE BETTER？
- Using a stud finder, identify the location of two studs. The exact horizontal locations wont be precise, but don't worry about that. Just mark where you want the top and bottom inner lip of the safe to be (ie 2 horizontal lines - one on top and one on bottom). Locate the studs using a sheetrock saw, and draw your box on the wall starting from the top or bottom lines. Then saw right down against your studs until you reach one of the horizontal lines.
- Remove any insulation that may be in the wall and be sure your cut lines are straight.
- Place the safe into the hole you just cut and using a pencil, mark the studs through the screw holes in the side of the safe. Drill out the holes you just marked. Be sure to use a drill bit that is a tad smaller than the shank of the provided wood screws. This will make it a lot easier to screw in the screw.
- Place the safe back in the hole and use a ratchet to fasten the wood screws.

This safe is a definite space saver. We had the perfect spot for installation behind our bedroom door. We wanted something discreet and convenient, this checked both boxes. It mounts fairly easily. I would say most beginners with any type of basic hand tools can mount this. It’s not going to hold a large collection however it will hold enough in one area that you feel comfortable with what you have close by. I would definitely recommend this for the price point.

I really had high hopes for this safe, and while it is sturdy, there is NO WAY it is fireproof. This is simply a company that adds words to the description to get you to buy it. In this case, IF you actually had a fire....all of your items in the safe would be gone. For one THING, no safe is 'fireproof', only fire-resistant. I have owned fire-resistant floor and wall safes before, and ALL of them have material in the doors and walls like ceramics and/or wool or woven kevlar....SOMETHING that is designed to slow fire. This safe has ZERO protection. A 'fireproof' safe also has a certification label with 'burn-through' time listed...this safe has nothing. This safe will secure your valuables, but there is no way that simple steel walls will protect your valuables against a fire.
