Overall, a decent spotting scope for the price. Only minor downfall is that at max magnification, it's hard to get the perfect clarity. I use this scope for work and it's replaced my binos.

Trying to get a rifle sighted in at 200 yards? With this you will clearly be able to see your target without any problems. This is my primary use for it but it can very easily be used for other things like bird watching. I haven't pointed it at the mood to see what that looks like but I don't see why it wouldn't work for that as well.

This spotting scope has magnification from 25x to 75x and has a 60 mm objective lens. This is a straight scope as opposed to an angled scope. I like the focus knob on this scope because it is really fast and easy to focus on an object. Surprisingly, the image is sharp and bright with no noticeable chromatic aberration. The sight picture is clear, but it has really short eye relief and a really small eye box. To be fair, most spotting scopes have short eye relief, but this one is on a whole other level. In fact, the eye relief is just above zero. You have to position your eye less than ¼ inch away from the scope’s ocular to see the entire sight picture, and that’s at the lowest magnification. On high magnification, I have to literally press my eyebrow against the ocular, and I still have trouble getting a full-sight picture. Additionally, by pressing against the ocular, I cause the flimsy tripod to move around, which causes the sight picture to shake.Because the objective lens is somewhat small (60 mm) relative to the highest magnification (75x), the spotting scope produces a small exit pupil, but that goes beyond the understanding of most people. On the highest magnification, the exit pupil is 0.8 mm.The tripod is very flimsy and wobbly and is not compatible with ARCA plates. I wouldn’t consider the tripod when contemplating whether or not to purchase this scope. I took some pictures and videos through a phone adapter but decided not to post them because the pics are not representative of what I saw with the naked eye. However, the image is quite good for a scope in this class.I am reviewing and grading this scope in comparison with other scopes that are in its class and at its price point. This is a highly competitive market, and there are just too many scopes with better features and better pricing to seriously consider this one. And, I wouldn’t use a tripod of this quality because it is too wobbly and not compatible with ARCA plates. However, the scope does function and produces a nice picture, but it comes at the expense of neck and eye strain after using it for extended time periods due to the issues I discussed.

This is an awesome scope. From being able to spot animals in the back yard to looking up at further objects in the sky. The scope is well made and easy to focus especially with the provided tripod which easily extends out to a standing position. I found them fun to use and my kids were intrigued. Very well designed product.

Lightweight. Looks and feels made with somewhat cheap materials so, not sure about how durable it turns out to be.

I tested this scope on a hazy morning and was very disappointed. The detail was blurry and could not be focused, regardless of whether the scope was zoomed in or out. It was so bad that I couldn't tell what I was looking at. I peered through the lens a few hours later and was astonished at the clarity. I could now see that I was looking at my neighbor's old washing machine, about 120 yards away. I couldn't read the brand name but could see enough detail to know it wasn't a top-loading dryer. The bottom line is that I didn't realize how foggy the conditions were. Without the fog, I like the scope.I'm not fond of the tripod, so I dropped a star. It is unstable, the legs don't lock very firmly, and the scope doesn't lock into position very well. Overall, it is cheap. When I'm ready to use it consistently, I will likely buy a new tripod to avoid the headache. The bottom line is that the scope is good, but the tripod is terrible. You have to wonder if they had to cut costs somewhere.
