Clear and well made!

I am not a hunter, but have always wanted a spotting scope to use while we are out in nature. This scope is easy to use and works great. The cheap tripod that comes with it is useless though. Being along a better stand especially if you want to use the cell phone adapter. You have to be perfectly still and stable. Very good quality of materials used and a handy carrying bag as well.

Let me start with this is not a super high-end spotting scope. It will do the job in most applications, however, and for the price point it is really a very good spotting scope. The packaging was good and the scope and accessories arrived in good working order. It comes with the following items:Spotting scopeRipstop nylon carrying case with belt loop and shoulder strapLens cover capsTable top tripodLens Cleaning ClothCell phone adapterThe scope itself zooms from 25X to 75X. The optics are OK but not the brightest I have ever used. Glassing in low light conditions will suffer optical clarity with this scope. All of the adjustments (Power adjustment, Eyepiece focus, and Overall focus) are solid and move well without any issues. It also has a built in sliding sunshade over the objective lens that operates well and seems to do the job as intended. A nice feature really.The lens caps are of good quality, and I like how the objective lens has a permanent mount for the cap to hang from when removed from the lens. It also has a solid friction fit that snaps it into place so it will stay mostly dry and clear of dust. The eyepiece lens cap is another matter. It has a loop molded into the cap for a strap, but no strap is present and nowhere to mount one if it were present. This is a small matter, but losing a lens cap in the field can ruin a hunt. The eyepiece cap also doesn't have the same snap fit the objective lens has so it isn't as tight a fit. In fact, I would say the fit is just a bit loose for my tastes and wouldn't be a serious deterrent to water or dust intrusion. The sliding sunshade extends about 1.5 inches. The entire scope is covered in a textured, rubberized compound that feels good in the hand and would help to keep it from dropping from cold or sweaty fingers. There is also a threaded 1/4-20 attachment point for attaching to the included tripod or to nearly any commercially available tripod for cameras and such.The tabletop tripod has adequate adjustability for pan and tilt but has no adjustable center stalk for raising it up, but again, at this price point this is to be expected. The legs aren't super sturdy but if it doesn't get bumped it will stay on target. There are also rubberized feet to help keep it from sliding around on a table.The cell phone adapter is really a waste of time in my opinion, especially with today's multi-lens cell cameras. It does default to one lens on my S24 so it will work but the connection to the eyepiece and general shakiness of the adapter make it basically unusable for this purpose.The case is well made but the attachment point for the sling are just light weight plastic parts that are just waiting to be snapped off in the brush.Now we get to my only real gripe about this kit...The carry case holds the scope well, and you can make room for it to hold the cell phone adapter. However, there is nowhere for the tripod to go, so it has to be carried separately. A small gripe to be sure but a gripe nonetheless.All in all, in the context of quality for price, I would not have trouble recommending this to a friend or family member as long as they were not looking for high-end optics.

This is a good quality, budget priced spotting scope. It functions well with my phone. It is solidly made and seems durable.It is made of plastic and is completely covered with a rubberized material. It is lightweight but seems very durable.The lenses are very clear and crisp and come with covers for both lenses. The focus and zoom dials are smooth and turn well.The small tripod is thin metal with rubberized feet that works well with the spotting scope. It also comes with a carrying case for the spotting scope.

Overall, it’s pretty nice quality spotting scope. It has the same issues that most cheap scopes have with little to know eye relief, and minimum zoom. I like the phone holder that came with and used it exclusively with an old cell phone to be able to glance at it.The basic tripod it comes with is everything you need to set it on a bench it’s sturdy and easy to get on target. Out to 100 yards this worked perfectly. It was easy to see the holes in the target even using the cell phone. At 200 yards, even with the phone zoomed in, it was difficult to see holes.Overall, it’s a pretty good value just don’t expect to go out to 500 yards with it.

This is the only spotting scope that I've handled, so keep that in mind. But with that said, this seems like a nice set to me. It comes in a decent nylon bag with a tripod. It mounts up well to the tripod, which functions as it should. I was a bit mystified playing with the controls at first, but after reading the instructions - just a quick primer to label the various parts along with a short step-by-step of what to do and in what order - it's actually very simple to use, and brings into focus things at a distance and of a size for which one would use a spotting scope - birds, targets, etc. About the only thing I can say against it is that, while the rubber cover over the large lens is attached to the body of the unit, the one over the small (looking) end is not captive. Otherwise, I think this will be a very useful addition to our shooting gear.

Use it as a spare for my truck and have used it in season no problem. Build is sturdy with decent light clarity especially if you do not max it out. For the price it actually is quite nice.
