This back plate did exactly what they advertised. Easy setup and definitely does help getting more heat into the room!

This product is welded together with several thin iron sheets, and made to look like a 13mm solid iron plate. But it is light and flimsy and will not stand up to fireplace heat.--- after discussion with seller ---Seller offered the following clarification on the product, which seemed sincere and reasonable, so I am sharing here for everyone's information:We would like to clarify that in our product description, we have clearly informed all buyers that our product has a semi-hollow structure. After market research, we found that customers had difficulties in handling the traditional heavy fireplace back plates. To address this issue, we upgraded our product to a semi-hollow design, which not only reduces the weight for easier transportation but also incorporates advanced technology. The surface of the plate has a high-temperature resistant coating that can withstand up to 1400°F. The steel plate is a specially treated synthetic steel with an internal support structure in the semi-hollow design. This design improves thermal efficiency by 50%, optimizes heat circulation, prevents heat accumulation, and simplifies the handling and ash cleaning process. Although it may seem ordinary, it is actually filled with technological innovation. We have full confidence in our product.

It's a hollow design, so we'll see how it survives over time. I only use my fireplace occasionally, so I don't think it'll be an issue. I do like that the design means it's not as heavy. The size is good and I like the plain finish. It does a good job of protecting the masonry and does project more heat into the room. I'm happy with it for the price.

Be sure to look at the dimensions. We actually use this under the fire grate and it works well. It's a strong material. Protects the base of our firebox floor.

I am incredibly disappointed with this fireback. The product description and images make it seem like a solid, heavy, 1cm-thick iron plate, but in reality, it’s just thin sheets of metal poorly welded together to appear thicker. The surface is uneven with multiple dents, and the base legs included are terribly constructed with low-quality welding. This is not the durable and well-made fireback I was expecting. It feels cheap and deceptive – definitely not worth the price. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone. I returned.

I have a larger fireplace than most these days as my house was built in the 60's and is full masonry and quite deep. The product description is accurate. This is a hollow design, which I have not seen before but was curious about as firebacks are generally so heavy that they are difficult to put in place, especially if you have doors on the fireplace. Due to all of this and the price I figured I would give it a shot as firebacks don't give a bunch of extra heat but mainly give some reflective radiant heat but really they just move the fire forward to some degree and provide a bit of back wall protection. All in all I am feeling some more heat in front of the fireplace at the 3-4 foot point compared to without so I believe it is reflecting a bit more into the room. I read some complaints about the feet being too large which I don't particularly understand as they are only about 7 maybe 8 inches deep but I have seen some newer fireplaces (insert style) that with the provided fire grate there may not be enough room but those inserts would not benefit from a fireback and this unit is not decorative in any fashion. The feet were a bit difficult to attach at first until I slid the feet back and forth until they found a slightly more narrow section to put on and then I could easily slide them left/right to get the width adjustment I was looking for. I have been running a heavy fire for the past week and you can see in the picture that there are no discernable damages so far. So all in all for the price I have nothing to complain about but a full cast iron fireback would likely provide more radiant heat.

I ordered the SIenson Fireplace Back Plate to use as a heat deflector behind my woodstove. These are designed for fireplaces, but they work well behind my stove. It is semihollow, but it still has a bit of weight to it. The stand/legs can be a tight squeeze for the plate, but they fit. Last night was the coldest this winter, but I could tell it radiated extra heat. I dropped one star because it's overpriced. It seems to be well-made and durable, but the current asking price is too much.

Stand way to deep. Will not fit in our fireplace. Don't want to use item without stand. Could fall over. After several fires it is dented. What a joke. Obviously cheap. Stay away
