The cords seem very thin but it's not my first time using them. I've only had one issue where they shorted out but overall they work!

I wasn't expecting much from these cables; they're a smaller gauge than my usuals. While equipped with SpeakOn connectors, I don't see "Neutrick" (the originators of SpeakOn) on the outside of these things anywhere, so they're knock offs. Still, I thought I'd give them a workout at the Christmas Party I was the DJ for last weekend. My first and only criticism was that these cables feel more like plastic than rubber and, when brought in from the cold, stay stiff and hard to work a bit longer. Once thawed, though, they're easily taped down and - here's where the surprising part comes in - they sound excellent! I wasn't expecting that as, again, they're smaller in thickness (avg. wire gauge) which usually ends up in quieter or thinner sound. Not here! For the first time in the more than 2 decades I've done this event, I was asked to lower my volume. The highs were crisp, the bass was tight, and my voice sounded natural. What more can one ask of a speaker cable?I can't speak to durability as I just got them and used them ONCE, but unless there's some calamity, speaker cables can last for decades. If for some reason these fail prematurely, I will return with an update. For now, I'm more than pleased!

Overall: Recommended! Dependable speak-on cables with an excellent fit and great cord qualityMy girlfriend and I run events and shows all the time and burn through lots of audio equipment. I have always been a big fan of speak-on because they lock into a speaker and it's basically impossible for a cable to slip out. with aux and XLR there is always a possibility that the cord will slip if someone trips on the cable or bumps into a speaker. These like typical speak-on will stay put no matter what : ) cheers

Very good Speakon cables with heavy 12 gauge wire. The black rubber "boot" or gasket at the wire end of the Speakon connector is a nice touch. None of my other Speakon cables has that. The Speakon connector has the capacity to have four (4) wire connections, but in this case it is only using two (2) of the four (4) poles. You can see this clearly, I believe, in the picture I uploaded. The cable only has red and white wires inside. (Some of my other Speakon cables have 3 wires and 4 wires. Again, this one has 2 wires.)

The connectors on these cables are reasonably nice, the latching mechanism all works as designed, and they work nicely.Since these cables seemed a little thinner than others I've used, I went to double check on the wire gauge used on these. Printed on the jacket is "HIGH CLASS SPEAKER CABLE 2x2.55mm."12AWG as a solid cable should be 2.05mm. If these cables were actually 2.55mm, that would be 10AWG, but that's not the case here either. I disconnected one of the cable ends, and measured the cable with a calipers, getting 1.9mm in diameter. Since these are stranded wire, which is a larger diameter than solid wire, this would be likely either 13 or 14AWG wire. This won't present any safety issues for most speaker connections, but it does constitute false advertising. These cables have 2 conductors. This in itself is not a problem for normal use, but if you're planning on bi-amping a speaker, you'll have to look elsewhere for a 4-strand cable.
