I have 2 toddlers who were getting in the fridge at night and tearing stuff out making a huge mess without me realizing until I heard them of course it was too late by then. So I have a garage fridge, because the space in my kitchen to have a big fridge is limited. That's okay, the garage fridge isn't terribly expensive, but because it is more budget-friendly, it has one particularly glaring design flaw: the fridge and freezer compartments share the same air. So on occasion, when you close the fridge door with any level of force, it forces the freezer door to pop open, sometimes imperceptibly so.You only need to do that one time (and almost lose all of your frozen foods to spoilage) that you look for a solution.I needed latches which would automatically lock when the door was closed. Enter these child locks. They are easy to install and easy to use. The offer the ability to temporarily disable the locking mechanism if you choose, but the best part is that my issue with the design flaw of this fridge was completely solved with this solution.They are really easy to install, they stick very strongly with 3M tape, and they absolutely completely solved the problem.Can't recommend these latches highly enough, and I don't even have little kids any more. They would, clearly, also be perfect for families with little ones who might pull a door open and not close it, but I wanted to give you my use case as well, since it is also just as valid.
