These are some of the lightest weight tri clamps I have ever seen. All of my 1.5" tri clamps are made in China so this is not a reflection of where they are made but instead how they are made. Just opening the package I could feel something didn't seem right. My no name clamps purchased from a major home brew supplier are 205g, the lightweight but usable Amazon brand that specializes exclusively in brewery fittings is 155g but these are 112g. There is so little sidewall that I would not recommend them for anything but ambient pressure applications. Even if structurally they might work, the risk of and difficulty of applying these undersized connectors and obtaining the proper clamping force is just too high a risk.Personally i would not get these tri clamps again as my product is too much work and effort and given the price, there are plenty of other higher quality options available for very similar prices.

I was initially worried that there may be play in these clamps and the silicone gaskets may not keep the steam in but there isn’t any play at all once tighten and they remained air tight throughout the distillation. These are def recommended if you’re on a budget, they work really well
