I used this two pack to make a pulley system for my kids' play structure. They use it to hoist a metal pail full of stuff up and down. Obviously this is over-engineered but the pulleys work fine for this and were much less expensive than any product labeled as a "kids pulley system".

Fantastic quality (for $5ea), 100% stainless pullies...perfect for center lift-point of HAM wire antennas, especially in salt-air environments...these will literally last forever, very solid !Maximum size line that fits pulley is 3/8"....typical boat dock-line.As reported by others, the "load rating" is undoubtedly the point it will break, NOT what it will lift, as there are no ball bearings, just a steel pulley on an axle...so if you need to lift more...doing what others here did, combining multiples of 2 at top and down at load, will help.Those whining about "won't lift 400 lbs"...get real...each pulley is $5 !!! ...are you serious !? Just goes to show how technically ignorant so many people are these days.....you want a "professional/industrial" pulley to do serious work...serious weight...go look...they're often $100 or more...(although check out Garhauer for serious, American-made, affordable, professional "blocks" (pulleys) !

Great pulleys for the value the only drawback is the swivel are pretty stiff and won't unwind twisted together lines requiring a reset of the line to untwist them.

These will function perfect for what I needed. I actually ordered a second set for another attic access. I rigged up a lift so I can pull things up into my attic. I'm lifting items of less than 100lbs, under 50lbs most of the time. I just set my box of stuff on a tarp and connect the corners of the tarp to a carbiner at the bottom of one of these pulleys. The other is my top pulley. I'm using a 1/4" rope, but you could go bigger on the rope size. These do look pretty cheaply made and I wouldn't trust them anywhere near to what they say they are rated. I also agree with another reviewer that the wheels do not turn with any load on them. But with less than 100lbs the rope slides through them with no issues and they work perfectly for what I need. I only give 3 stars because for more rugged use with more weight these would almost assuredly be inadequate.

This product is remarkable. It is hard to say many good things about a pulley but this product is worth it. It is strong, has a good feel, and works for the purpose it was purchased. We received the product at the right time and it was as advertised. I used it for a physical therapy aid for shoulder pain on the advice of my doctor and it worked wonders.

Has worked great as part of the cable support for bistro lighting. Unfortunately, the C-clips holding them together are all rusting pretty badly. Seems like a serious oversight for what is otherwise hefty stainless steel that looks good as new.
