With a large assortment of artificial flowers and plants, I can always use stem holders for the variety of the vases I use. These spiral stem holders are sturdy plastic, not like some silicone ones I bought at a discount store. These held my faux flowers in place, exactly on how I wanted them to be arranged in the vase. Also, the greenery that I added to the arrangement. Best of all, they are not expensive and will be used over and over again. Also, when the special occasion arises, that I may receive fresh flowers, as I do, from family members and a few special friends, these will again come into use. I can't speak for most, but with fresh flowers, most times, the greenery and the flowers, die off separately. So, as I remove each flower that dies, the bouquet becomes smaller and has to be rearranged. These stem holders will hold the fewer live flowers in place. A good product for a fair cost.

I used fresh flowers in mine and it worked pretty well, it was a very easy and intuitive process. At the very least, I appreciate that my flowers aren't splaying every which way in their vase now.I don't know how well the spiral effect actually worked though. I put them in and then did the rotating part but it didn't seem to want to stay, so maybe that's something I'm doing wrong. You get a small and large stem holder just like the listing shows. The smaller one is inside of the larger one so be sure to take it out before you try to use it.

Both the top of each holder has hard plastic with cut out holes. The bottom also has a layer of stretchy rubber below the hard plastic. I assumed from the description that there would only be the stretchy rubber underneath with hard plastic on top.

This worked fairly well on my rose bouquet, although I had to remove all thorns, and work to get some of the thicker stems through the bottom holes.I do love that it comes with 2 size options, and the added silicone in the bottom holes helps to keep the stems secure. I could see how without that silicone, the thinner stems could just slip through, making the device fall into the vase.I feel like it will take a bit of practice to get all the stem lengths right for placement, but this definitely does the job of spreading the bouquet out nicely.

This [2-piece] Flower Stem Holder is EXACTLY What I was Looking For. Silk Flowers with LONG STEMS flop around in the Vase. Making it Hard to Arrange Them. Simply Pushing Each Stem Through the Individual Holes/Holders Ensures the Perfect Placement and SPACING for the Flowers. Very Easy to Insert. I HAVE NOT Attempted to 'Arrange the Flowers' in this Vase. This is How they Looked when I Inserted the Holder in the Vase Opening. Looks Good to Me !Each Holder is Made of Thick, Sturdy Plastic. Can Get WET if Used with 'Real' Flowers. The White Silicone Rubber Lower Section Securely Holds Each Individual Stem in Place. Well Made / Perfect Fit !
