Which you will need to do because they break really easily. 90 degrees is your absolute limit! Our local RV electrician had to install a new Anderson plug in our new truck to go along with our DC DC charger. The previous surround in the old truck left something to be desired and they are trying this out. Probably not for much longer as we called them asking for a replacement cover two days after picking up the truck. If you are thinking of a new installation, buy the more expensive softer plastic versions with real springs. Since this already had the holes drilled in our bumper, we had to replace with an identical version. Basically, if your surround /cover looks like this, it will fit as a replacement.

I had to make an umbilical from my truck to my travel trailer and I wanted it to handle massive amperage from the oversized alternator directly to a DC to DC charger. I used these as mounts and so far they have performed up to expectations more or less.They are made out of a plastic nylon type mesh so they are fairly tough, however the cover is really thin which I don't like. Constant exposure to the sun will cause it to break I have a feeling. Overall, the plastic itself could be thicker a bit to make this more rigid and durable so that's why I gave it 4 stars.I treated both of them with protectant on the plastic to keep them from crumbling in the sun and I hope these will last quite a while.

This is a nice little set of flush mounts for anderson style plugs, and a lot cheaper than the name brand stuff. They’re nothing fancy, just a couple of plastic mounts with plugs included, but they’re made with quality plastic and work great and are a good value.

Ordered these 2Pcs Embedded Plug Installation Panel, Anderson Plug Panel Base for use in a battery box, but did not see that they are the 175 AMP version rather than the smaller 50Amp plugs. I should have read more carefully. They come in different sizes based on amperage and they ended up being too large for my purposes. Middle weight plastic with basic covers, not spring loaded or anything. Not bad if you are on a budget they seem just like the smaller ones I ordered, just not the thickest plastic in the world.
