I'm completely honest, I bought these for all those times when I cut something too long. A rafter on a barn, a 2x4 stud, a chair seat, a speaker box, we've all cut the wood larger than needed, and sometimes cutting it down is a royal pain. Thats why I have these waiting in my grinder box. Next time that happens, I'll be ready!!!

Nice sharp rasps for the angle grinder. I had to cut down two very large pine trees last year and kept the larger logs since I was wanting to try my hand at carving. These rasps will really help with some of the shaping and detail work. They are very sharp out of the box and no doubt will work well. I will update if there are any issues discovered after using these for some time.

These wheels weren't quite the wood-chewing miracle I was hoping for, but they did work. However, putting them on the grinder was a bit nerve-racking. They didn't come with instructions, and when I initially fired up the grinder, the wheel started to wobble and was obviously loose. It was a bit terrifying. I had to turn the locking nut over in order to get a tight fit. I'm still not sure if the was the "correct" way to do it. I paid VERY close attention to how it spun afterwards while using it.I used these on an old stump to test them out, and they definitely took off some material. However, my grinder (DeWalt 20v) bogged down pretty quickly if I put too much pressure on it, so I couldn't take off too much too fast. Afterward, there was wood stuck under most of the teeth (which makes sense), and I tried to used a wire brush to clean it up, but had little to no success. They also seem a bit on the thin (i.e. cheap) side.Overall, I will certainly get some use out of these wheels, but I won't be able to fulfill my life-long dream of becoming a power-carving phenom with them.

These will fit any 4 1/2 in grinder. Just be sure to have a front handle on the grinder so you have a good grip with both hands. Be sure you understand the physics of the grinder because you do not want to make a climb cut. (cutting in the same direction that the wheel is spinning in). I strongly recommend leather gloves they should protect your hand if you get a kickback and get a hand in it. Lastly, I recommend using a good cordless grinder over an electric for 2 reasons. Most of them have a lower RPM, which makes it easier to control. The other reason is most all cordless tools have brakes that stop the blade fast when you let off the trigger. Just keep a tight grip and if your work is small use a clamp or vise to hold it down. Use light pressure & let the tool do the work do not try and force it

These work well in our angle grinder. They are a good value for great quality. I would recommend and purchase again.

I am a wood working in my spare time and am getting into carving stuff. I got these as you get two for just under 8 dollars. They are essentially rasps that you mount to grinder and they quickly remove wood. Unless your hitting metal with these I can't see how these wouldn't last a long time and you can't beat the price. I am happy with the order.

These discs will fit Husband's angle grinder perfectly. The discs are well made, solid and sturdy, and are very sharp. Husband has expressed an interest in artistic woodcarving and is eager to try them out.
