Pretty much plug and play. It's an upgrade in terms of safety and visually it ties together the look of my car's stock LED tail lights vs. the warm white bulb for the plates. A few issues though:- Unlike the OEM light, this is not a housing. The LED module is unprotected. Considering that the removed housing was very dusty when I removed it, dirt is an issue.- It doesn't connect to the OEM connector, instead it plugs into the bulb socket. The manufacturer clearly took the cheap and dirty route. To protect it I covered it with shrink tube.- It's bright. VERY bright. Even covering half of it with electrical tape, it's just too much.I ultimately reverted back to the OEM housing with a T10 wedge LED. Three stars from me.
