Purchased these for my 91 year old mother. She installed them herself with no issues. The covers fit exactly as advertised and the Matt finish is much more realistic looking than her previous shiny plastic one's. We have a very happy camper!

I read the reviews and realized it was a thin plastic but I didn't know you could see through it. When placed on our lamp in comparison by the picture included my old one is a solid white whereas this one you can see the protective cardboard covering that goes around the lamp socket. I have a shade so it is not noticeable from a distant but be aware it's not solid white. The quality is certainly good enough for the price.

These are thin plastic meant to replace the original covers which were all white-coated cardboard for lamps built during that time. They work fine and look nice, but I wish they were more reasonably priced. They are just thin translucent plastic tubing cut to size.

They were exactly what I needed. They are much thinner (slightly translucent) than the original but looks fine on the chandelier. I didn't need to trim them but I think that they would be easy to trim with scissors.
