While crude, it can be made into a decent sprayer. I have several little pump-style garden sprayers. They're getting old and I cannot reach the tops of my young apple trees. I also have 15 gallon and 30 gallon ATV sprayers. While they're larger, they're long and flat so when I mix up 2 gallons of spray in either of them, the level isn't high enough for the pickup tube to stay submerged. So, in the end you have to mix way more than you need just so the pump can draw it up the tube but you end up dumping a couple of gallons of spray because that's what the pickup tube can't pull up out of the tank. I needed a 3-5 gallon sprayer with a cone-shaped design so I could mix small batches and waste very little spray. I got to looking around and couldn't find anything that fit my needs so I made one! As I said, it's kind of crude but I took the 12v pump & the wand off of the 15 gallon ATV sprayer, built a frame from Handy Angle, got some tubing for the plumbing and installed a 3/4" NPT PVC plug in the bottom of the tank. I drilled two holes in the top, placed the pickup tube in one and the bypass tube in the other. Currently, I let my homemade sprayer ride in the FEL of my tractor but I plan to get a Carry-All and then I'll rebuild the frame I made for the tank/pump combo and I'll be able to just rest it in the Carry-All once it's all said and done. I'll likely refine a few things as I get closer to the final setup but, for now, it's working well!

The tank was a perfect fit replacement tank and the slanted bottom makes evert drop come out so you don't have the last little bit grow algae before the tank finally drys out.
