I got this for bending stainless tube as well as copper and overall it works well. I did not have a great deal of issue with this tool but I do recommend using oil or grease to allow the tool to slide over the tubing. I did not lubricate the outside of the tubing and it caused the tube to fold over itself due to the friction.Nice little tool, not pro grade but good for the DIYer!

Less commonly used in the US are internal spring benders that keep the tube from kinking or collapsing. The biggest deficiency in this tool is its lack of instructions and guide for getting good results. There is a little on the box and a little more different information on the product description page. But they are so fragmented that they are likely to be missed by many users.Benders like this are meant for soft (annealed) copper. This comes in coils. One of the steps in making copper tubing is to drawing it through a die. This creates lots of internal stress in the copper crystals, making it hard and stiff. For some purposes this is good since it keeps straight pipes straight. If you get your tubing in coils it has gone through an annealing process to relieve that internal stress.
