We purchased this to go on top of a 20 years old Tempurpedic mattress. It's added extra height and provided a softer and more cushiony surface for managing superficial orthopaedic pain. It appears to be made of 100% real medium-density memory foam, not imitations or other materials such as egg crate foam. The durable, adjustable straps and nonslip surface on the bottom keep it in place on top of the mattress so we haven't needed to readjust the position despite our two large dogs frequently jumping on and running across the bed multiple times each day. It appears to be well made and sturdy, but it's also light-weight enough that one person can move it, should we ever want to switch it onto our guest futon for visitors to have a more comfortable rest. We've even tried it out on the floor to see how it would compare to sleeping bags, and it's definitely more comfortable and would work well for an extra sleeping space, especially for young kids who enjoy "camping out" in the living room. Although we haven't tried this, it appears flexible enough to allow the placement of large orthopaedic wedge supports underneath the topper to raise the head and upper body or to elevate legs and feet.

Spent way too much time deciding on 2â€, 3†or the 4†options on here. Once I decided to go with the 4†then I had to decide on which reviews were realistic with “cooling†since I tend to sleep warm. This topper does not in any way make me feel like it’s got any kind of cooling. Honestly, how could it unless air is somehow being circulated in it. The 4†topper was chosen because I figured 2†would do nothing. Sleep quality seems fine, I may be falling asleep faster or I’m just exhausted more. But I do like settling into it. That’s one thing you’ve got to take into account, you sink into a deep topper and rolling out of it actually takes effort. The firmness seems right for me and I have not had any issues with it wanting to slide anywhere on my mattress. My fitted sheets hold it in place very well so I’d say the fit is right on. Durability seems high to me and the cover that comes with it feels soft and any odor from the factory dissipates quickly. I slept on it the first night I had it. One last thing … I never thought about how much higher my bed would be adding this to it. Friends have walked by my bedroom and commented at how tall my bed is now. It takes some time getting used to that too!

Not as comfortable as my former topper but it is comfortable. Smooth. Fits on bed perfectly. Came with straps to hold it in place. It is great.

I Love it! I'm older with back, hips, shoulder issues. I had tried a 4", but it was hard to get out of. This 3" is Perfect! I can sleep on my side without my hips hurting! I don't Have to stay on my back all night, which really helps! And, ladies, I slept on my stomach for the first time in a long time and didn't have to adjust "the girls" to keep from squishing them!It came nicely packed, was easy to set up, has a really nice cover, and the straps to keep it in place. I wish I'd bought it sooner!

This turned a very uncomfortable mattress to a mattress that felt much better to sleep on. It is a very thick and firm enough mattress topper that supports my weight and I wake up feeling less achy and more rested. I laud this mattress on a floor first to have it form to where it should be. There was an odor but it didn’t last long. I will recommend this a friend or family.

Overall, appreciated that this item didn't have a chemical smell, and was actually 4" when it inflated! Initially, I was pleased with the comfort when I first when to bed, but found myself waking up with back pain due to the lack of support on my back. I'm a little heavier, and there was a valley where I was I would lay which caused my lower back to take all of the pressure. It was also difficult to move around, and did sleep warm also. I will say that my shoulders didn't have pressure points, however. I wish that the topper was able to keep its shape more throughout the night, so I didn't wake-up in pain (which I was trying to correct anyway, due to an over-firm mattress).

Okay, I’m 39 and and very active/athletic. I used to be a big runner, but once I added weight training and I’ve started having glute pain lower back pain, which has always been lingering since the days I used to race, but progressively got worse I’ve been to a chiropractor and dry needling and all these things to be proactive on my pain and it’s helped tiny bit, but I am Still hurting. I bought a feather down pillow top and was so excited and I thought I loved it but I’m realizing I don’t have the 20 year-old body anymore and I need something more supportive. I saw great reviews on this. It was delivered to my house within 24 hours. I’ve had two nights sleep on i may be premature but it’s probably the best thing I’ve ever purchased. I have no back pain no hip pain in the morning. I don’t have to sleep with pillow pillows in between my legs or under my knees. I’m so happy with this purchase! It’s COMFORTABLE!!!

I bought this to replace an old bed topper for my king size bed. I will say it is very comfortable and I am sleeping much better. The topper is not quite sized right. It is not a perfect fit for a king size bed. It is lacking an inch all around to cover the entire mattress. The elastic corner straps will not stay on...! With all that being said, it is VERY comfortable and the cover is very nice.
