The mattress pad is soft, not noisy, fit my bed well and in general fine, so I did a water-stain test on it using a mixture of cranberry juice and water at room temperature. I dropped a small amount on a corner from holding it in a straw before releasing the fluid, and at first I was impressed with how much it bounced and beaded up and just sat on top. I had a paper towel at the ready and lightly blotted it off the pad, and MOST came off but not all. There were a few pink spots where it had soaked through the top layer of the mattress pad, which I found troubling.So I did some further research on what is perceived that makes a good waterproof mattress pad to protect your mattress and many evidently are NOT fully waterproof, and furthermore they lose much of that ability to repel fluids through laundering so I have to realize this is just probably going to get worse.I do have another waterproof mattress pad by a different manufacturer of different fabrics, and I dribbled the same onto it and it ran right off, very quickly. But it did leave a wet feeling on the surface but it had not penetrated through the pad to the underside liner at all.My research warned to be wary of inexpensive waterproof protectors and I really wouldn't feel comfortable thinking this would protect puppy accidents or other spills perhaps from children. We are without dogs/children so it will still serve as some protection for my mattress so all is not lost for me. But keep in mind the saying, "you get what you pay for" and I'm not sold on this one's ability to be totally waterproof. It will offer some protection but is that all that is needed? Not impressed.

This waterproof mattress pad is the truth! It protected my mattress, it remained soft after a few washings, it fit well. The only thing it didn't do is remain pill-free, which was weird because the fitted sheet on top of it that we actually slept on didn't pill but the pad underneath did. But, that's just a small issue noted for long-term quality. I received this waterproof mattress pad with the list price of $19.90, which I consider a really good value given all of the pluses. If you're looking for something that will last for years, though, this may not be the one.

I got this waterproof mattress protector because I have a little old man (my dog) who sleeps with me and he sometimes gets sick and throws up on my bed (I know, yuck) I got tired of keeping washable puppy pads on my bed to prevent him making a mess on my mattress but that was getting annoying. This protector does exactly what I need it to, it protects my mattress and it doesn’t have that crinkly annoying sound. It fits and stays on my bed snugly and it is 100% waterproof! Washes well and doesn’t shrink. Wish I would’ve found this years ago. Highly recommend

I don't really like mattress covers because they change the feeling of my bed. This one is the best ove experienced so far, not too soft, not too hard, just covers it and prevents damage to my mattress. I have a cat who is insistent on sleeping with me and it's nice to be able to keep my mattress clean.

Very pleased with this mattress cover/pad. The material is soft and I like the tight diamond pattern vs. my old one with big diamonds. It feels good under the sheets.Most importantly IT FITS GREAT. With today's mattresses there is such a broad range for thickness. Some pillow top, extra soft mattresses can be 12inches+ thick and most manufacturers are trying to make a one size fits all product. Well this company did it, with stretchy sides and good elastic. The top centers up and stays in place without bunching. I have maybe an 8inch mattress and I have had trouble with previous products moving and bunching up. this one fits great.As for the water proof attributes, I did not test. I find it a bit much to pour water on my bed to just see what happens. I have a waterproof total mattress cover zippered on so i think of this as just another layer of protection but it is much more about having the comfort of a mattress pad for me.Two thumbs up!

This is a really nice waterproof mattress cover. I usually hate the feel and the sound of the waterproof ones but not this one. It is soft and quiet. It is much easer to wash and dry since it is not bulky. My bed is already soft I don't need the extra padding just the protection from little bladders. A very smart design that fits well and does the job
