One end is flared for a slip fit. The weld seam is very visible and ugly. I hope i get a refund

Another review said the weld seam was visible, so I'm including a close-up of that part on mine. You can see some marks from grinding but you've got to get it in the right light. Overall it seems really good to me.I got the 2.5" size. I'm actually building an art project that will use these tubes to simulate the appearance of large hydraulic cylinders so I'll never be attaching these to an exhaust system and can't comment on their suitability for that.

I make a custom exhausts and the larger stuff is pricey. I haven't found a good bulk dealer that doesn't eat into the profits I make. With the 4" straight pieces I can make plenty of pie cuts with my portaband saw. This was a good deal for 2 lengths. For 3" diameter SS, a 16 piece SS mandrel bent kit is the better deal.With 4" I'm usually doing truck stacks, fender exits or pie cut downpipes.Metal quality looks good, still have to wipe it down thoroughly before TIG welding.

These are really nice, highly polished, mirror finish on both pipes. Great for the price. These are perfect for custom exhaust. They both taper down at the 2 ends to a smaller diameter. Outstanding pipes!
