Low Visibility
- One of fluorocarbon's biggest benefits is it's nearly invisible underwater. This is because it doesn't appreciably distort light passing through the line (it has nearly the same refractive index as water), and it's a huge factor in clear water and when targeting skittish fish.
Abrasion Resistance
- Fluorocarbon's low visibility characteristics allow anglers to use stouter pound test lines in situations such as heavy cover tactics for bass. As an added benefit it also has incredible abrasion resistance and as such has quickly become a top choice of the pros when fishing the thickest cover or dragging baits along the bottom.
Sensitivity
- Fluorocarbon sinks faster than mono, resulting in less slack or bow between the lure and rodtip.
Waterproof
- Unlike mono and some super lines, Fluorocarbon doesn't absorb water. This means it has the same strength, sensitivity and handling below the surface as it does when dry. It feels and acts the same on your first cast as it does on your last.

Very good price for a 3 pack of flouro. leaders. Pretty good lb test weight for salt fishing in winter FL. Wish these came in heavier line weight selections, but for a quick, last-minute trip, these did just without being $$$. These cast very well. and turned over my heavier flies nicely.

I use these often on a large blue ribbon river nearby I go through them pretty quick with the amount of fish caught and brush behind the river. Its a good price when you constantly feeding through it.

Leaders can be hit or miss. They can become too old and frail and cause your fish to escape after all that work. These are strong and already come pre-knotted so you don't have to spend any extra time for set up. Some competitors offer leaders that somehow are already straight when unpackaged for first time use yet these did seem to slinky up a little. Luckily, I left it on my fly pole straightened out for 10 minutes in the sun and it worked just fine. You additionally can purchase a fly leader straightener (10 dollar small item that is just 2 pieces of leather) to run the line through and straighten it so not the biggest deal.

These tippets appear to be of decent quality and supple enough to lay out pretty well in a cast, once you use a leader straightener. The certainly are a good value.
