My son just started Trumpet, and I wanted to pick up my own mouthpieces to use while teaching him (I'm a former professional trumpet player). These mouthpieces are a great value and feel good. Perfect for the average trumpet player and a good shape/feel for those learning to play trumpet. The mute is a basic mute (very lightweight), but it works well. For those learning to play the trumpet, these are the 3 most common sizes.

THIS IS AN ICREDIBLE VALUE FOR ANY TRUMPET PLAYER REGARDLESS OF THEIR EXPERIENCE LEVEL. STUDENTS CAN TRY OUT DIFFERENT MOUTHPIECES TO SEE WHICH ONE WORKS FOR THEM. EVEN PRO'S MIGHT FIND A MORE COMFORTABLE MOUTPIECE. IT CONTAINS HIGH QUALITY MOUTHPIECES AT AN INCREDIBLY LOW PRICE. I WAS NOT AS THRILLED WITH THE MUTE. OVERALL A GOOD VALUE FOR TRUMPET PLAYERS. I HAVE PLAYED THE TRUMPET FOR 70 YEARS AND CAN VOUCH FOR THIS AMAZON DEAL.

I was pleasantly surprised at the sound that this lil mute makes in my Eastar pocket trumpet... I was playing with a Harmon mute, and love the sound, but when I tried this lil guy, I was impressed at how easy it was to play, the intonation didn't suffer, it's quiet enough, but I can still hear a lot of the natural sound of the horn coming through, and it's just so darn cute in the bell of the pocket trumpet... the mouthpieces are exactly what they say they are... I am glad I bought them, because I found that I really prefer the 3C, at least in the pocket trumpet... so far, the the 5C is currently in my full sized Eastar trumpet... btw, both of my Eastar trumpets are way better than I expected them to be... Now, I await the arrival of my S CHOPRA fluglehorn... I already have the Bobby Shew mouthpiece for that...

Mouthpieces work well, and offer an economical way to try out different sizes. Mute works to lessen the sound of the horn and I can practice without disturbing people who are in the next room.

I cannot believe how good these mouthpieces are for the money I paid. The mute is OK... made of VERY thin metal. But, it works... and sounds acceptable. But the mouthpieces are indestinguishable from the one that came with the horn. Very heavy. High quality. Flawless manufacturing. I took a chance when buying, because the price was so low that I wouldn't be out a lot of money if the quality turned out to be poor. But, it didn't. This is a steal and you won't be disappointed.

The product feels good and looks well made. I have very limited experience with brass instruments, so this is just my initial observations.One mouthpiece appears to have been overheated during treating resulting in a rainbow effect. Another appears similar, but not as much.It would be a neat effect if intended, but doesn't match the expected product.

Wanted to try a 3C mouthpiece, but it was cheaper to buy this set then just the 3c. Works like a charm, and the mute is nice, not nearly good enough to get any benefit out of it, but the 3c works so much better for me than the 7c I was using. Would recommend to any beginner trumpet player.
