I'm around twenty years older than the 80's young people who wore these, so I missed out on it when they were around as I was busy trying to learn adulting, lol. Some of the things I missed back then I have found it is fun to try them now when I'm started into my 60's. These socks are one of them.This particular trio of socks are nice and bright to cheer my day. When pulled all the way to wear as knee-highs they are a little thin. Too much of my body is plumpish, but from the knees down I'm not so plump, so that was not the problem. Maybe slouch socks are supposed to be thin? I did find when I slouched them, they were better for warmth and more comfy to wear. They look well made, though I had to be careful of where the toe seams lined up when putting shoes on. They were fine as long as I made sure to adjust the position of the toe seams.Over all, I am happy with these scrunch socks and can recommend them. If I wear them out, I will definitely order them again. They are cute, fun, and bring brightness to any day!

I have some insulated leggings I need to wear when it is really cold out. The issue is that the length is a bit shorter than I would like, so even though they go into my boots, they still get cold. I got these socks to make up the difference.CONTENTI am unsure of the content of these. They seem like they are cotton or at least a cotton blend. There is a lot of elastic thread up the entire leg of each sock.COLORSThe colors are as bright as shown in the item listing. They are really pretty and intense which is what I wanted. I have neon clothes I wear in the dead of winter to help bright up everyones mood and these go perfectly with my bright colors of clothing and coats that I wear.FITI wear a size 10 shoe and these fit whether I want to have them all of the way up, or slouched down over the bottom of the leggings. The feet are not too short which can be a problem for me. They are thin, so if you are wearing them for warmth, you will be disappointed. My boots are lined with fur so these are fine.THE BOTTOM LINEI love these socks. The colors are bright and they do what I wanted them to do.MY RATINGFIVE STARS. I am really excited about these socks. They really help me keep my lower legs warm when I wear my shorter leggings with bright colors.

I have wide calves (16.5") and these socks stretch comfortably with a smidgen of extra stretch around calves. Now they do loose the scrunched look and the color isn't as vibrant a bit of the internal white elastic starts to show) but they fit!Color is bright and vibrant.Great stretch.Not paper thin but not winter thick so great for mild weather.

These socks look so colorful and fun and they are in reality as well. For once these are truly regular size socks that'll fit a women's 7-9 shoe size. Not sure what the material is however but it is soft and feels like cotton or at least a cotton blend. Quality is adequate. The bottom part is a tighter knit - relatively thin like a casual thin sock (thicker than dress) - and the cuff part looser so they'll slouch nicely or if you prefer to pull them all the way up they won't feel compressed in any way. Great to wear with lace up or hiking boots.
