Gets the job done. Good for teaching and understanding the principles of paper navigation. The plastic is very easily scratched even under light use so I would not recommend this if you are going to use this for long voyages or extended periods, but it's not intended for that use anyway.

The parallel rulers have no stickiness on the bottom making them very hard to hold still on the chart. I added some stick on rubber dots that helped a little. The rulers are a little longer than my course recommended, and I see why now.The dividers are good enough and hold a distance measurement well enough for charting.The plotter protractor is very handy. I've begun using that more than the rulers.

While I know this is a lower priced item compared to the rest of the market and I expect a cost-friendly build quality associated with this - it falls below even those expectations.The navigational parallel ruler build process appears to physically crack the ruler itself in every place they make a cut - causing fractures throughout and eventual break points. Have only had this for a few days but don't expect this to last long with break points right out of the box.On top of this, their shipping method physically bends and warps the plastic divider which essentially ruins its perceived functionality.Would not recommend purchasing this product. Rather, I would recommend to spend the extra money for a higher quality product.

These are cheap garbage. Spend some money to get ones of better quality, dividers did not hold in place, the tips came off, the parallel rule slide all over the place

I still like to use paper charts for basic route planning and this navigation set works well for my purpose. The plotter protractor is very useful.

Awesome set of plotting tools while working on your captains license. The plastic is good quality, and the pivot points are stiff and hold their angles. All in all a great set!
