I purchased these thinking they would be kind of bright. Not at all can barley see them even at night .

These little indicator lights are great. I use them on my control boxes for my light shows and Halloween shows. I don't necessarily really need it on there, but it is good to kind of glance over and see if power is on on the box or not. I'm sure there's plenty of other uses. You could use this for, but it's just for me for a little indicator to know that power is running to it. The little clips made it easy to connect it to the power and drilled it right into the case no problems.

I used this to replace a power/standby light on a guitar amplifier. I wired the light directly to the existing connection and it was bright enough.

On the outside it looks like a sophisticated lamp but in reality this is just a red LED with a 3K resistor. The two poles are not insulated very well and might be the reason for the failures. Regardless, now that you know whats under the hood you can easily adapt this for whatever voltage you like and while your at it protect those pins from shorting out.Cheers

There are many LED panel indicators available, but I was looking for something with a flush face rather than a recessed cover. I wasn't happy with the recessed indicators because the light could only be seen when looking at them nearly straight on.This indicator has a flush face, and the LED is visible from all directions. It provides a very bright, strong light. It's rated for 12v, but I'm using it with a 24v power supply without any issues. The black anodized body is perfect for my application, as it's mounted to a black panel.The only thing that was disappointing is that the leads are only 8 inches long. It wasn't clear from the listing. I've had to add some additional wire using butt splices to get around this limitation.

The product description states that the 12V units are 12-24V. I used them in a 24V setup and 3 out of 3 failed within months. They may be OK when used in a 12V setup. Product details are inaccurate.
